Position Summary
St. Anthony Catholic High School is seeking a Dance Instructor. The Instructor assumes all responsibility for teaching the dance class with the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; Holistic Education.

Description of Job Duties
-Understand, communicate, and assist in ensuring dancer conformance with the dancer By-Laws and dancer contract;
-Organize, prepare for lead productive practice sessions in a positive environment that promotes self-esteem, teamwork, and pride in the Jacket Jewels Dance Team;
-Works in conjunction with Head Dance Coach to prepare the team for performances at different sporting events, pep rallies, and dance competitions;
-Communicate regularly with dancers, parents, and Dance Coach;
-Works with Director of Curriculum and Vice-Principal;
-Performs any other duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Vice-Principal.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
-Possess effective dance techniques and skills in multiple dance styles such as jazz, hip hop, pom, modern dance;
-Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, and techniques of Dance;
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, teachers, parents, and students;
-Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Required Education
High school Diploma or its equivalent

Required Work Experience
-Two (2) years of high school dance experience; -Three (3) years of experience at club level

Preferred Qualifications
-Bachelors degree;
-Experience as a dancer at the collegiate or professional level

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
-CPR certified or CPR certified within 15 days of hire

Work Hours
-Tuesday/Thursday/Friday; 8th period times vary according to special schedules.
