Job Description
Several postdoctoral research opportunities in the de Figueiredo laboratory in the Bond Life Sciences Center are available. The successful candidate will apply state-of-the-art molecular, cell biological, and scRNA-seq techniques to develop next-generation microbial medicines for combatting infectious diseases (Yang et al., PNAS, 2022; Wells et al., eLIFE, 2022), cancer (Guo et al., JITC, 2022), and autoimmune diseases (Das et al., Gut Microbes, 2022; Plocica et al., J Transl Autoimmun., 2023). The highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, and fast-paced projects will leverage, in part, recently awarded funding from the ARPA-H cancer moonshot program. Candidates with expertise in bacteriology, cancer biology, autoimmunity, and immunology are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities:

• Craft manuscripts for submission and publication in high-impact journals
• Train postdocs, graduate, and undergraduate students in the laboratory
• Successful candidates will be persuasive communicators with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work.
