Position Summary:
Position Summary: The position will serve as a teaching assistant for one section of BIOL 3150 Genetics Lab to be held at the Coeur d'Alene Harbor Center during the Fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities include working with Moscow-based instructor and graduate teaching assistants to offer consistent lab content delivery to students in Coeur d'Alene; maintaining wild-type and mutant lines of Drosophila and equipment and supplies needed for student-led genetic experiments; overseeing safe work practices; mentoring student projects and answering questions; grading student lab reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
  • Prior coursework in Genetics


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Drosophila in education or research environment
  • Experience teaching undergraduate laboratory courses
  • Previous student in University of Idaho BIOL 315/3150 Genetics Laboratory
