Posting Context Statement:
The Testing Center Program Specialist directs the implementation and administration of exams given through the University of Idaho's Testing Center. Responsible for administrative functions within the Testing Center. Informs students, proctors, Testing Center personnel, and other stakeholders regarding software, hardware, and testing procedures, coordinates the test scheduling process and test materials, provides and assists with training and dissemination of information to Testing Center personnel, acts as a liaison with IT, and coordinates efforts to improve and refine usage of the Testing Center. This position works closely with CDAR testing staff to provide support in both testing locations as needed.
Position Overview:
This position performs a complex mix of duties in support of project or program development and delivery.
Duties may include:
- Coordinate office operations
- Document and tracking program schedules and business cycles
- Plan and coordinate program meetings and events
- Support program planning and may assist with the development of operating budgets and/or funding proposals
- Research and compile information for communications such as talking points, speech scripts and responses to correspondence and presentations
- Coordinate collection of data and materials for reports and other administrative documents
- Develop and maintain positive liaison relationships with various offices, customers and stakeholders including internal and advisory boards
- May assist with budget management and provide support for financial and/or personnel processes
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- Three years providing administrative, business operations and/or program support
- Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
- Within 6 months of hire, complete all NCTA Proctor Certifications necessary
- Duties of this position require the employee to be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work nonstandard hours including alternate schedules or occasional after-hours work
Additional Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Experience gathering and compiling data for reports
- Experience with University programs such as Banner, Chrome River, and Vandalweb
- Familiarity with ADA, Section 504, and NCTA Professional Standards
- Ability to provide customer service in high-demand or high-pressure environments
- Experience with national standard testing programs, including computer-based testing, accommodated testing or placement testing
