Logistics Technical Trainer; Chad, Africa; Multiple locations throughout Africa

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Choctaw Premier Services is a federal contracting firm dedicated to providing exceptional support in the execution of international security assistance programs. We are currently seeking to develop a robust pipeline for future contract awards, focusing on capacity building and mentorship initiatives in collaboration with foreign military partners.

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Logistics Technical Trainer is instrumental in advancing logistical capabilities by providing specialized training and expertise in logistics operations. This position requires an experienced military professional with a robust background in logistics operations. The Trainer will develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the logistical efficiency of both military and civilian personnel, ensuring effective support for peacekeeping and stability missions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and deliver advanced training programs focused on logistics operations, including planning, coordination, and execution.

  • Provide expert instruction on logistical processes and best practices, drawing from extensive experience in military logistics.

  • Support and enhance logistical operations by applying real-world experience and practical knowledge to training scenarios and exercises.

  • Train and mentor foreign security forces and local personnel in logistics management, improving operational capabilities and efficiency.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and logistics operations, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.

  • Offer strategic guidance and recommendations based on comprehensive logistics and operational experience to senior military and UN officials.

  • All other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in designing and delivering effective logistics training programs tailored to various operational needs.

  • Deep understanding of logistics management and operational planning, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts.

  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities to address logistical challenges and enhance training effectiveness.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at presenting information and conducting training sessions.

  • Ability to work with diverse cultural settings, and ability to navigate regional and cultural differences effectively.


REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of U.S. or NATO military experience; must include combat arms battalion/brigade staff officer experience on a U.S. or NATO military staff.



  1. Combat arms is defined as armor, cavalry, engineer, field artillery, infantry, special forces, or special operations forces.

  2. Staff officer experience is defined as a primary staff officer assignment on a U.S. or NATO battalion or brigade staff.

  3. O3 non-primary staff officer time on a U.S. or NATO battalion staff or O4 non-primary staff officer time on a U.S. or NATO brigade staff will be considered with detailed evidence of that candidate’s active performance and participation in integrated battalion/brigade planning and operations, particularly performing those duties while deployed to a peacekeeping, combat, or other contingency operation.



  • Attainment of military grade of O3 and higher (or NATO equivalent).

  • Relevant military operations, or foreign security force (police or military) capacity building, experience in last five (5) years.

  • Experience as a senior trainer, military or civilian, to a foreign security partner.


PREFERRED:

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of U.S. or NATO military experience; must include combat arms battalion/brigade staff officer experience on a U.S. or NATO military staff.

  • Attainment of military grade O4 or higher (or NATO equivalent).

  • Battalion and/or brigade staff experience while deployed to a combat, peacekeeping, or other contingency operation.

  • Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, with an understanding of regional dynamics and challenges.

  • Capability of working in austere environments.

  • Ability to travel throughout the United States and abroad on short notice.
