Job Summary:
Nature of Work:
The Department of Pathology of the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine is seeking applicants for Instructor in the subspecialty of Cytopathology, who have previously completed a GME approved fellowship in Surgical Pathology. Applicants must be board-certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology and actively participating in or previously completed fellowship in Cytopathology.
Principal activities will include surgical pathology signout including frozen section coverage, participation in tumor/multi-disciplinary clinics, resident and student teaching.
Employment expectations:
- Attending physician work in sign out Sign out of surgical pathology cases
- Participate in tumor boards, multi-D clinics, and other conferences.
- Contribute to and participate in journal club and consensus conferences, didactic lecture and unknown case conferences related to surgical pathology.
- Participate in the education of residents and medical students, as deemed appropriate by the Director of the division
- Participate in Frozen Sections, as deemed appropriate by the Director of Anatomic Pathology

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
MD with unrestricted license to practice in the State of Colorado. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology. Previous completion of GME approved Fellowship in Surgical Pathology. Current or prior Fellow in Cytopathology
Desired Qualifications:
Ongoing fellowship in Cytopathology. Prior fellowship training in surgical pathology

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$120,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
