Position Summary:
This non-tenure track, clinical assistant professor is responsible for teaching and mentoring WWAMI medical students throughout the 18-month curriculum and under the guidance of the Clinical Medicine Department Head.

Under the direction of the Clinical Medicine Department Head, teaching responsibilities may include:
  • Clinical Skills education and assessment
  • Hospital tutorials
  • Documentation assessment (H&P's, SOAP notes, etc.)
  • Mentoring of students over their four-year program

    Other responsibilities may include:
  • Faculty Development
  • Student Interest Group Advising
  • Assisting with student orientation
  • Didactic Lectures
  • Electives
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.



    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A terminal degree (M.D., D.O., or equivalent) in a disciplinary relevant to healthcare and medical education
    • A terminal degree (M.D., D.O., or equivalent)
    • Board certified or Board eligible
    • Active State of Idaho or Washington Physician and Surgeon Medical License or ability to obtain by hire date
    • Ongoing clinical practice





    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience teaching medical and/or other health professional students.
