Position Overview:
Advising students on course selection, academic policies and procedures, career advancement, program enhancement and community building, and program navigation. In a team environment, this position serves as a liaison among students, faculty, and program directors to facilitate enhancement of the student experience through innovative methods especially targeted towards online students. This position will develop creative approaches for online community development, engagement, and support for students in these programs. The employee will also support directors in the enhancement of programs by leading systematic assessment and evaluation to identify opportunities and needs.
Required Experience:
- Three years of providing college-level student and faculty support
- Working in a customer service-oriented team environment to accomplish shared goals
- Prioritizing assignments to complete work
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email, internet searches, and data organization
Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree
Required Other:
- None
Additional Preferred:
- Masters degree in education, natural resources, environmental science or other relevant subject by position start date
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with students enrolled in on-campus or distance education programs in natural resources or environmental sciences or instructional design/technology
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with professionals from state, local, and federal agencies and industries, non-governmental organizations, or related organizations
