Position Summary:
The Northern District is seeking applications for a fiscal year Extension Faculty Senior Instructor, Non-tenure track, of 4-H Youth Development. The Senior Instructor will provide leadership in 4-H Youth Development and in 4-H Youth programming. The position will provide support and extension outreach in Latah and surrounding North Central Idaho Area sub-region within the Northern Extension District. The position will provide leadership, guidance, and management to the 4-H Youth Development program in Latah County and will collaborate with Extension personnel across program and county lines plus actively participate on State 4-H teams and committees.

Minimum Education/Degree Required:
Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree related to education or youth development is required by date of hire.
- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that respond to local needs.
- Experience working directly with youth and adult audiences and collaborating with community organizations to provide educational experiences for program audiences. Experience incorporating audience needs and community input into program planning and delivery.
- Experience teaching, facilitating problem solving, communicating with varied audiences, managing conflict, building professional relationships, and supporting leadership development.
- Experience working as part of a team, coordinating Extension programming, and conducting marketing and promotional activities for 4-H programs.
- Experience communicating through oral presentations, written materials, active listening, and public speaking.
- Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers.
- Experience using technology and computer applications in program planning, delivery, communication, and evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master's degree in an applicable field of study.
- Experience in 4-H Youth Development through Extension work or other professional roles.
- Familiarity with Latah County and the surrounding area through residence, work, education, or community involvement.
- Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and cost-recovery activities.
- Experience working with mass media, including television, internet-based platforms, radio, and newspapers.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends
- Must: possess a valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move 50 lbs.
